Frances Murdock, Director Hours: The Marshall County Senior Citizens Center is a haven for anyone who is seeking new friends and a healthy senior lifestyle. Founded over 40 years ago in Marshall County by the late Lena Mae Pickens, the program has been a viable part of community life since its inception. Continuing in it's rich tradition the center mis free to all adults 55 years old and older. The center is located in the Hardison Building Annex at 230 College Street in Lewisburg and occupies several activity rooms and offices. The hallway connecting these rooms is used by many as an indoor walking track year round. The following programs and activities are available:

As implied by the services listed, the Senior Citizen Center also houses the Nutrition Center/Home Delivered Lunches program and Marshall County Public Transportation. The Senior Citizens and Public Transportation receive funding from the state of Tennessee and the federal government. These funds are administered by the South Central Development District based in Columbia, Tennessee. The Senior Citizens Center also receives funding from Marshall County government, United Way, United Givers Fund, private donations, and fundraisers. The Nutrition Center provides cafeteria-style lunches at noon, Monday through Friday. A senior must call 931-359-6452 the day before to reserve a meal.
