Mental Health Court Case Manager
(Full-Time)
Nature of Work
This position is located within the Marshall County Government Probation Office. This position provides comprehensive case management services to adults who are involved with the criminal justice system that have a diagnosed mental illness. Perform other duties as assigned.
Necessary Requirements of Work
Bachelor’s degree in either criminal justice, psychology, social work, or related field, preferred. Court experience and experience working with adults experiencing mental health and substance abuse disorders. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills. A combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities:
• Knowledge of judicial proceedings
• Knowledge of misdemeanor laws
• Knowledge of treatment options available in our community and surrounding area.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
• Knowledge of drug testing procedures and protocols.
• Ability to manage a large caseload and maintain all documentation required to comply with existing departmental policies.
• Ability to interact successfully with local officials, law enforcement personnel, social service providers, clients, co-workers, and the public.
• Ability to consistently make timely and appropriate decisions in response to situations encountered on the job.
• Ability to prioritize job related activities to meet workload demands and established deadlines.
• Ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet, and database management software applications.
• Skill in the use of conflict resolution, negotiation, and mediation techniques.
Necessary Special Requirements
• Possession of a valid Tennessee Driver’s License.
• Must pass a criminal background check prior to employment.

- On-call 24/7
Necessary Special Requirements
