2020 Marshall County
        Board of Equalization Meetings

Pursuant to Section 67-5-508. Tennessee Code Annotated, the
property assessment records of Marshall County will be available for
public inspection at Room 3300 Marshall County Courthouse Annex,
Lewisburg, TN. during normal business hours. Any person desiring
to inspect these records may do so at the appointed time and place.

The Marshall County Board of Equalization will begin its annual
session to examine and equalize the county assessments on
Monday, June 1st, 2020.

THE BOARD WILL ONLY ACCEPT APPEALS FOR TAX YEAR 2020,
UNTIL THE LAST DAY OF ITS 2020 REGULAR SESSION, WHICH
WILL BE JUNE 5th.

The Board will meet by appointment June 1st-June 5th. In accordance
with Governor Bill Lee’s Executive Order No.34 appointments may
occur telephonically or through other digital means. All meetings will
be held at the Courthouse Annex. Any owner of property who wishes
to appeal to the County Board of Equalization about their assessment
valuation should contact the Assessor of Property to secure an
appointment with the Board. If you think your property is appraised for
more than it would sell for on the open market, please submit to the Board
sound evidence in relation to the valuation of your property such as
comparable sales, photographs, measurements of buildings or any other
pertinent information that relates to your value.

Property taxes cannot be appealed to the Board. Now is the time to
make a final appeal on your assessment valuation. Failure to
appeal an appraisal or an assessment at this time may result in
the assessment becoming final without further right of appeal.
